Advancing lupus clinical research and clinical care is the cornerstone of the Lupus Therapeutics mission.
With numerous clinical partnerships and collaborations, internal expertise, the 50+ centers and hundreds of lupus experts in the Lupus Clinical Investigators Network (LuCIN), Lupus Therapeutics, the clinical affiliate of the LRA, is focused on bringing possible therapies through clinical development for the diverse lupus community with health equity, education, and access to clinical trials at the center.
Driving Equitable and Inclusive Patient-Focused Research
Integrating the voices of those living with lupus and lupus experts into every phase of the clinical research process is vital.
Lupus Therapeutics is uniquely positioned to work holistically across the community, including partnering with biopharmaceutical companies, clinical investigators, community organizations, and patients. To achieve this, the fundamental barriers preventing members of the lupus community from getting involved, particularly those from underrepresented groups, must be eliminated. That is why Lupus Therapeutics is spearheading several initiatives to improve access to clinical trials and increase participation rates among diverse communities, including Project CHANGE (Community-based Health Action Network to Generate trial participation and Eliminate disparities) and the PALS program (Patient Advocates for Lupus Studies), as well as a number of other patient engagement, empowerment, education and equity activities.
Advancing clinical research and care
Inclusive clinical research is vital to continue efforts to find additional safe and effective diagnostics, treatments, care models, and a cure.
Whether it is through the proprietary Healthcare Provider Directory™, learning more about the clinical trial process, or connecting directly to a clinical trial center, Lupus Therapeutics makes it possible.
Catalyzing Lupus Clinical Research
Lupus Therapeutics advances clinical research with a suite of medical and scientific consulting services for biopharmaceutical companies and an expansive, proprietary network of clinical trial sites at leading medical research centers throughout North America, known as the Lupus Clinical Investigators Network (LuCIN). Through LuCIN, tapping into the expertise of more than 200 experienced clinician-researchers focused on lupus to help engage the lupus community for greater access to clinical care and trial participation.
